We have 2 they seem to be prone to the usual android quirks. But thats the operating system. The phones have been good.

It has a very low resolution screen, and a horribly slow processor. My Galaxy S2 has a dual core 1.2ghz processor, while the optimus only has a 600mhz processor. Don't expect it to be able to do anything intensive, and don't expect software updates for it.

My family has 3- got them for $49 each at Targetto before Christmas. Everyone's happy with them.

LG phones don't have the best rep in the android community.

If you are thinking of using the Square reader, I have two Optimus V, four Square readers, and swiping cards simply does not work, regardless of the phone/reader combination.

I would be hesitant to use any prepaid phone for something data related, like card reading. You get what you pay for.

I have the Optimus but the Sprint version. It does what I need it to do, now anyways. The last software upgrade made it glitch like crazy, but with the updates that just came down about 3 weeks ago, it seems to have fixed the problems. I would be hesitant to go with a prepaid phone for what you need it for. I'd say get a contract and write it off on taxes as a business expense. Just my .02. Good luck on your search.

I appreciate the replies but this was in regard to a smartphone that I could accept CC payments on and now today the company (gopayments) is saying this one won't work...after they said it would yesterday...

    Thanks though
