Any current G19 owners planning to get a Gen4 19 later this year?

I was curious if any current 19 owners are planning to get a Gen4 19 when they come out in a few (or several) months?

If you are, why are planning to do so? Replacing your current 19, collecting, want a smaller grip, etc.?

Out with the 3rd and in with the 4th.

Shorter trigger face to backstrap distance. Current 3rd gens I can't get a flush trigger face to finger pad connection so I'm currently pulling the trigger back at an angle. I'm right handed and when I am shooting fast on a string I'll group my shots several inches left on a target but on the same string on far shots I take more time and I'll be right on. I also refuse to pay big money to have a 3rd gen grip reduced gun.

The dual recoil spring dampens the recoil impulse.

I am hoping the new texture is tied or better than the 3rd gen.

The ambi mags are cool but I don't think you can have both mag release buttons on at the same time? Not sure. I'd say it is a reversible mag release not ambidexterous mag releases.

The Gen3 was perfection but the Gen4 is perfectioner.

No plans on getting a Gen4 G19. I've had my Gen2 since 1992. I had no desire for a Gen3. I'm interested in fondling a Gen4 to see the differences, but mine is like an old pair of broken in jeans or shoes! :)

    Absolutely.

The only improvement I've ever really wanted for the G19 was a smaller grip, and maybe some more texture so I don't have to stick a bicycle inner tube on them.

Between the larger mag catch, slightly smaller grip, and new RTF... wish granted.

I will probably be replacing both my Gen3 G19's once reliability in the Gen4 is demonstrated.

The texture is quite a bit more aggressive than the Gen3 which I found slippery. But it won't eat your hand up as I've heard the RTF(1?) did.

The mags are ambi, the mag catch is reversible so you are correct there.

I'll definately check them out. As stated above my biggest wish was a smaller grip and at least an attempt at shaving off that giant palm swell on the gen 3's. Though I would be surprised if the new mag release can improve upon the Vickers I threw in my G19.

I wonder if I'll be able to transfer my sights onto the 4th gen?

Anyone know when these will be hitting stores?

    I'm definitely seriously considering one.

I may buy one of the 4th Gen G19s... eventually.

I'm more than happy with all of my 3rd Gen G19s:

Very likely. The grip on my 3rd gen is a little wide for my wife to shoot it comfortably. I really like the way the 4th gen G17 feels in my hand.

Just so someone else doesn't read this and misunderstand what you've said:

The Gen4 grip is just as wide/thick as the Gen3. It is shorter from front to back when no backstraps are added.

I'm not considering the purchase of a gen 4. My gen 3 fits my hand perfectly, so no need.
