I'm a pround owner of the Glock 20 and was wondering if there are some or any recorded KABOOM cases involving the Glock 20 or 29 models? It seems that any Glock model in 40 S&W has a KABOOM case somewhere on the internet (very over dramatized by Glock haters), but haven't seen any on the 10mm.

    Take Care and God Bless!

    None of mine ever KABOOMED...

I would imagine that it has probably happened to somebody...somewhere...

But I know of no firsthand incidents involving G20s or 29s...

I've never heard 'stories' about 10mm Glocks KABOOMING...

    40's OTOH...

I take it all with a grain of salt;)

I had one back in 1993 due to using reloads with what was supposed to be hard lead bullets. The Ka Boom was a severe case failure due to a lead ring buildup at the end of the chamber and beginning of the rifled barrel. This ring eventually seated the next bullet deeper into the case. Increasing the pressure. Finally a case that I had used 3 times using AA#7 finally failed.
Felt like someone hit my hand around the webbing area with a hammer. Blew the Mag out the bottom, breaking the mag disconnect on the way.The frame was only cracked at the right just behing the slide release in the corner were the mag well ends
The side, and stock barrel was fine.
Mostly I think that the excess gas vented out the bottom.

I sent the gun, all loading data and what I could find of the case to glock and for $45.00 I got a new frame (G serial number) everything fixed including a new mag. Glock told me what the mistakes were.
I have changed one thing though. Both my G20's have KKM barrels in them

I have put thousands of reloaded FMJ or TFMJ loads thru it since.

    funny you would ask now,
I just sent that frame in to upgrade to a FG&R (3rd gen)frame

My local range in Oregon has a range officer there telling people that he knows someone who had a G20 blow up using DT ammo, but I haven't been able to track down exact information. First I've heard, if true, and I have my doubts. :)

I know that McNett spent some time making sure he has a powder that even at the high Velocities numbers that he produces still has room in the pressure dept.
