I hope there's a special place in HELL for the person who wrote AntiSpyLab's adware program.

I've no idea where I picked it up but my computer went from calm to a storm of spyware warnings in seconds.

I currently run 3 different spyware programs:

EZ-Trust (free from high-speed cable provider)

    AdAware SE

    Spybot Search & Destroy

Only Spybot was able to remove the problem and only after I used Spybot was I able to remove the other files from the other two spyware programs.

I had that a few months ago. I could NOT get rid of it with any of the popular anti-spyware programs.
I ended up formatting my HD and doing a fresh install of XP.:frown:

They sure have an interesting marketing M.O.

"Hey, let's infect people with adware/spyware as an inducement to buy our software!"

Zonelabs internet suite has Anti-viri, anti spy/mal/adware and firewall all in one. It works well as does Aluria anti-spy/mal/adware. They cost something but I find they work better the the "Free" stuff.

Look on thier web sites for a list of other programs that are supposed to be anti-spy/mal/adware that are actually themselves offenders. :soap:
