Start with the G19 Gen 5 or G19X. Increase the length of the magazine well to accept the 45 ACP (This is about 0.106"). Use the semi-staggered arrangement used in the G37 & G38 to get 8+1 rounds into the G19 size and 10+1 rounds into the G19X sized pistols!

What a great size, weight and round count in full on 45 ACP!

If you are going to base your creation on Gen5, you need to sneak that missing Locking Block Pin back into the design. If Gen5-specific characteristics are not essential then the G30S offers the other important features without need for a unique magazine design.

FWIW the 5th gen locking block still has the channel for the 3rd pin. That being said what is the reason for needing the 3rd pin at this point.

Removing it was probably a cost cutting measure. While one or 30 pins aren't saving much, hundreds of thousands of them saves a bit.

Glock has obviously decided the 3rd pin wasn't necessary since they released the 23MHS for testing with the military and the new 5th Gen 22 for Brazilian Police trials. Both are two pin 5th Gen designs. The 40 has far higher pressures than the 45ACP does.

I'm sure Glock knows far more about the durability of their design that we do.

The Glock 30s frame is about .120" wider and at least .106" longer..... The proposed design is just longer. Also if the sf concept is added (As it is on the gen 5) there would be almost no increase in length compared to gen 4 and earlier G19's. 0.106" -0.098"(approx. sf change).

This is a much smaller grip than G30s which must be as big around as G21 to accept these magazines. This is the advantage to the semi-staggered arrangement used on G37/38/39, HK45's and M&P 45 to achieve a smaller grip than G21.

Plastic Commander sized Glock that weighs less than 3" aluminum framed 1911's.
