Helluva steep approach!
Cool! Could be a telephoto lens effect making it look too steep.
Could be a helicopter.
Or ValueJet. HH
Very kool indeed
Dollar says that's a departure. Concur with the telephoto lens compression.
It's a ho-ho captain!
Scott's right, it's a departure through a heavily zoomed timed exposure. That kind of climb is for noise abatement purposes, and not nearly as dramatic as it looks on a short focal plane.
Still cool, though.
Not a helo.
Or any C130 jock.
Not an approach. The white lights are position lights on the wingtips, facing the rear. If it was an approach there would be landing lights and taxi lights, and they are much brighter than position lights.
With the effect that a telephoto has, what would a pic of a fighter departing with an unrestricted climb look like?
Hey! You caught me doing a night flight in the Colt!
Actually, that picture scares the hell outta me. I don't like flying/heights.
And I gotta fly back and forth to Iowa next week. Dear God, I am not looking forward to it.
