I have an old computer that is running Windows 2000, It has a log in for users that I want to disable. I do have the password to get by it but how do I prevent it from popping up to begin with?

Also, is there anyway I can get WinXP without having to buy it?

There should be an option to turn it off under your network connections icon.

And yes there are ways to get XP without paying for it, but none of them are legal.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Users and Passwords

Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
