I'm listening to Armed American Radio this evening, and there is a discussion about giving up bump fire stocks for national reciprocity concealed carry.

So how about it? Give up legality of bump fire stocks for national reciprocity?

I'm definitely and enthusiastically for this proposal. Give something to get something......on both sides of the issue.

I have no interest in bump stocks, I also have no interest in giving an inch.

The bump stock prohibition is a false premise and national reciprocity is a liability, so no.

    Ban - no.

Make them Title II in exchange for NR, I'd feel Ok about it, throw in suppressors - I'd feel pretty good about it.

I voted yes, but agree with Benchchrst. I know the real answer is NEVER give into the liberals for they never give in, ever, always chipping away at our freedoms.

How is NR (not a national permit) a liability?

They're not giving anything in return. Every mass shooting, every "gun incident" that fans emotion - they TAKE a piece. Knowing full well that eventually there will be nothing left to take. Is National Reciprocity more valuable that bump-stocks - not even close. But it's irrelevant.

No. Make 'em class whatever like full auto, but a ban is silly. I have no interests in Fedgov having anything to do with CCW.

What piece did they take after Sandy Hook, Florida gay bar, San Bernadino, the church in SC........nothing at all. We stood firm.

Here we have something that is meaningless to responsible gun owners.......something that can be used as a bargaining chip for something we probably won't get without using it to our advantage.

From 'our' position, this shouldn't be a quid pro quo.

Not sure what your point is. National reciprocity is national. It consolidates too much power in one place.

Reciprocity will come with it's own set of rules? More restrictive than the strictest state?

About the relative lethality of a sliding stock or putting the CHL program in federal hands? Or, as you point out, the absurdity of trading one for the other?

Feinstein said California has no interest in NR and would oppose it. Considering CA picks and chooses what federal laws they choose to enforce, creating a legal prescedent for other liberal States to glom onto, don't expect any Dem agreement to hold any more water than their promise to secure the borders with Reagan.

Democrats lie to progress political agendas. Why would you trust them now?

Sounds like the kind of excuse for not having national reciprocity, that the left would like gun owners to believe......resulting in not getting NR......which is the desired result.
