Have you guys read the Philipine star? In page 14, a photographer caught (apparently a legitimate gun owner, i just assumed since he is wearing a rizal shooter's t-shirt, holster at his back)a man brandishing his gun while admonishing a driver.

Can't really judge the guy since i don't know the circumstances of that incident, but he should not have done that. Buti na lang aral at yung trigger finger wala dun sa gatilyo.

That is a black eye for cool, matured and responsible gun owners.

And that is the kind of thing that our friends over at the Gunless Society find much delight in. N must be jumping with joy!

I'd rather that the man brandishing the gun in public better be a hoodlum, not a legitimate owner, and a member of a reputable gun club.

    Bad publicity for us.

Do you believe everything you read in the newspaper? This is a classic example. Man in photo is a police officer on his way to MPD. He had to stop an ongoing fight between a taxi driver and a man on a motorcyle. One was holding a chain and the other a tire wrench. There were no uniformed police officers at the time and being an officer himself, he felt that it was his duty to step in to keep the peace.

He ordered the taxi driver back to his car and the other man to go the nearest police station.

Ironically, this police officer was with a media man because they were to feature him on the TV show game plan.

I hope this clarifies this situation before it gets out of hand.

    glad to hear that, sir.

i have friends from rizal shooters and if the public hears the wrong version of the story, kawawa naman ang gunclub.

at kawawa lahat ng legit shooters like us.

i suggest we spread around the real version para di maunahan ng mali.

para sa ating lahat din yun.:)

Philippine Media sometimes exaggerates things. When only one side is shown that is not fair and balanced journalism.

+1 sir. too bad this police officer who was trying to do his job had to be put on bad light just because an "irresponsible" cameraman/journalist decided to publish his photo without even verifying the REAL story....haaaaay.....

    Dapat pala ang caption:
Photographer caught brandishing his camera, actually shooting his camera.
I'll send this to PS and please send your comments too.

dapat gamitin yung photo as a positive advertisement for resposnsible gun ownership and how a police officer was able to neutralize a possible explosive incident between 2 parties by doing his sworn duty!

Thanks submoa for clearing it up. Meron na nga text umiikot kung sino yung Rizal Shooter member na yon, kaya sinabi ko rin kung ano talagang nangyari.

Yes, the pistol was in his hand pointed downward, not brandishing, and trigger finger outside.
