C4D95DA1-42DD-4C1A-AEF7-2A3EBCE4BFCC.jpeg Picked up another new/old stock G37. These are a great deal right now at one of my local police supply stores.
I plan on shooting it this weekend and then it will be my new bedroom/nightstand gun.

I honestly don’t think it gets much better than this for a home defense handgun.

The G38 a little easier for me to handle when things go “bump in the night.” It’s within reach as I’m in Slumberland.

I’m still kicking myself for not ordering a 39 when sportsman’s guide had them recently.

A model G39, that is in great shape is very scarce to find today. Ive got nib tenifer G38, a mint tenifer G39, and a recently in the last month tenifer G37, which still looks new. The hardest to find was the G39. But, the guy pretty much gave it away.
Great find DLL9mm, you will find that they are all extremely accurate. I guess its cause its the glock 45 barrels.

I picked up another G 37 from an estate. Pistol, barely fired and about 1k rounds for $500. I also just put this together and it may be my new carry gun. I bought a Lone Wolf G 38 slide from a member here. I also over dremmelled my original G 38 frame and it cracked. I bought 2 x Polymer 80's in case I messed one up. Glock said for $100 they would send me a new frame. So I put the Lone Wolf slide on the polymer 80 frame and it looks and shoots great.

Unless you can get your hands on available and relatively inexpensive 45GAP, the savings on the hardware are going to be outweighed by the cost of ammo over time.

With pretty much any handgun purchase, the cost of ammo over time is going to outweigh the cost of the gun many times over with even very modest use - even more quickly with larger or more obscure (and therefore more expensive per round calibers).

*laughs at your argument in reloader

its the same small pistol primer i use for 9x19 and 40 sw. the same powder for those 2 also interchange for the GAP. same boolits as .45 acp. i can even, if i have to , make brass from small pistol primer 45 acp brass. my cost difference between 9x19 , 40, and 45 gap is this:

11.5 cents for 9x19, 15 cents for 40, and 16 cents for Gap.
