The only holster I have is a Minotaur MTAC Slide IWB holster that I use for both my G23 and G27. It is a great holster and I use it almost daily. For circumstances where I am not able to carry IWB I am interested in getting an ankle holster. I will only be ankle carrying the 27. Does y'all have any recommendations for ankle holsters for the subcompact models?

[EDIT]Will a moderator please correct the typo in the title.
[EDIT]I guess moderators are busy with other things.

Sometimes I carry my G33 in a Fobus ankle holster. Before I go into a store I pull out the gun and put it in a pocket (NY trigger)

I haven't tried any other ankle holsters.

Gun retention is excellent, there are no snaps or straps to manipulate. Initially the holster was uncomfortable, then I got used to it and now I don't even feel it.

I believe I paid $45 for mine a few years ago on eBay.

+1 on getting use to it. Mine was not comfortable at first. Now I don't even know it is there.

I'm looking for one as well. I keep thinking galco is the way to but my wife would string me up dropping that much on another holster. She just does not understand.

I use a De Santis too, a well worn Apache, I tried a Fobus last month, and find the De Santis IMHO better.

IMHO.....I highly recommend the Galco. It is the best $70-80 you'll ever spend if you use it on a regular basis.

This is what I wore for about 5 hours today, around town and running errands. I wear slightly long, baggy-legged jeans and it is almost invisible. I also wear calf-length thick socks and strap it down tight and it stays put and doesn't slide or move around. Almost forgot I had it on. It's a Fobus. I got it on Ebay for $15 or $20, I think. Only bad thing is there isn't a lot of cold weather here, I don't use it too much:supergrin:

I have a Gould and Goolrich ankle holster for it. It is an ankle holster that laces through your boot laces. I wore it for 2 yrs and now I am on day shift so I dont need it . I am selling it for $30 if you are interested. It fits the Glock 26 and 27. It interlaces with your boot's laces and has velcro and has a thumb snap for the Glock.

Well I decided on the Galco Ankle Glove plus the Ankle Glove Calf Strap. The cheapest I found both the holster and calf strap was $70 from Slim's Tactical Gear & Guns. I can't wait till it arrives. I can not carry IWB and ankle carry at the same time. Which place would be better to carry a 23 and 27?

I forgot to mention the calf strap add on is great, helps keep it more secure for me. And it takes a little getting used wearing. Caution, when the wind blows strong you can get a good imprint and if you cross your legs or even sit you pant leg can rise up a little and show. When running as well. The G27 is better on the ankle and the G23 for the hip.

I think you'll love the Galco. Please update us on the Calf Strap. I prefer to wear mine without the Calf Strap, but I have a buddy who always uses it.

I like it up higher so when I sit down you don't see it. The calf strap is pretty short anyway. I'm 6' 3" so maybe the strap is short enough for shorter people.

my calfs are to big, if i wore mine that high i could never get my pants on:rofl:.
i know what you are saying about the gun showing when you sit, i have had some embarrassing situations happen because of it. that inspired me some years ago to buy a few pairs of pants dedicated for IWB and ankle carry, 2'' on the wait and 2'' longer.
