I don’t know about S&W, but Glock is too busy refining their long awaited PCC. They all over it, some say.

seriously, not with them plastic mags they are not.

If this becomes an issue is profound primer drag in these tiny guns still a non issue?

In this case, it doesn't look like primer drag is the issue as the tip didn't break. The top part sheared off.

    Bingo. Never be the beta-tester.

S&W possibly could but Glock cannot make a pistol that is comparable due to the design of their magazine. And that's a shame but also what happens when you paint yourself into a corner.

And my initial thought was maybe SA bought up all of Sig's first run firing pins....:couch:

One of their initial key innovations which is, ironically, one thing that is holding them back from playing in the high capacity micro nine sandbox...polymer magazines.

I hope this doesn't stir up the forum's "Croatian metallurgy" experts and wanna-be experts.

Looking at my HC, it seems as if the actual area of the striker that is "struck" is low and not on that triangle. I wanted to take mine apart, but I cut a hunk of my thumb off and can't do much right now. Maybe someone can look at theirs.

Ouch. Yikes! I couldn't bring myself to "like" your post, but you have my sympathy! We have a nice mandolin, and after a minor brush with the blade, I use that pseudo-cut-proof glove that people in butcher shops wear. Makes me feel a lot better. All of the mandolins I have used have a flawed pusher design in that guard that either leaves big chunks of food to wobble around or simply fails to slice the last cm or so. How hard can it be? And then, people like me (and possibly you...) try to find ways to get that last couple slices done!

Heal up fast. Hopefully the shredded onions or German potatoes tasted okay with the blood gravy and thumb wafers!

No more culinary jobs for you this month!

I do have some interest in the super high capacity micro 9s, but I don't need one enough to early adopt anything, going to probably wait until the market hits saturation with them. For example, S&W is bound to do a 3.0 Shield that's got the increased capacity. Glock, they need to ditch the plastic sleeves on the mags to make it work, but that aftermarket company may come through for us.

Gonna just sit and see what wins, and buy it.

Funny, I told my wife to use the guard and she cut off the tip of a finger with it. It healed up just fine, feel better soon.

Never buy the first run of any mass produced product. They are going to run the first batch the best they can and let early adapters be their beta testers.

Ouch, reminds me of when I had a little issue with a dull razor opening a box when I worked inventory. Took the tip of my finger, but luckily I worked in the hospital so it was easy enough to get it looked at.

Though, I was right that all I needed was some gauze and sterilization. Could have left the doctor out of it.

OMG! that looks painful. I'm glad I don't even know what a mandolin slicer is.

Is there any evidence to substantiate your claim that Springfield is kicking Sigs ass?

Fingernail trimmer, thumb slicer, and pretty good food cutter, complete with insanely sharp blades to render all that pass over them into little wafers, dices, or crinkle cuts.

Retired Guns apparently decided to quit prior to the second cutting pass needed for the popular "thumb waffle fry" cut!
