Currently drinking a frosty cold glass of Anchor Steam porter beer. At 5.6% alcohol content, it seems to be a pretty good drink, and goes down pretty easy.

My only complaint, though, is that they seem to have used a bit too much hops, but overall, it's still quite good.

Anchor Steam is pretty good, as is Sierra Nevada, although I prefer their Pale Ale instead of Porter.

Anchor Steam porter is one of my faves (but I am a porter kinda guy). It's hoppy-bitter ratio suits me to a 'T'.

Speaking of cold and frosty, I have a Scottish friend and when we head out to pop a top or two, he always encouorages me to hurry up because "your beer is getting warm and mine's getting cold!"

I haven't had the Anchor Porter, but two that I have had & found to be excellent are Grant's Perfect Porter & Deschutes Black Butte Porter.

most of the stuff from San Fran is good. I too like the Pale Ale but it all is good beer.

Anchor Steam has been my beer of choice for many years, but their Porter is good, too.

I had a good laugh at a bartender once when he said that Steam was priced higher because it was an import. ;Q
