I have a picture I want to make my avatar. It's over the 6000 byte limit but is the right 100x100 size. Is there a way to make it the required 6000 bytes so it'll work?

It's pretty easy. You can download a software application called Macromedia Fireworks MX from Macromedia Site. Once you download and install it, you can open up Fireworks and open your avatar so you can edit it.

Then, go to File -> Export Preview.

If it isn't already, change the file type to JPEG. This will decrease the file size. Also, you'll see an option called "Quality" where you can decrease the number that represents the quality of the picture until the file size listed on the right hand side is where you want it.

    Hope this helps.
