I bought the wife one last night for $299.99 + $17.00 shipping and $18.00 tax.

Two years ago I had never owned an AR, this will be number 4.

With some of those prices, I've been tempted to pick up a .300 pistol upper to play around with.

I did just that with a 8.5 inch 300 blackout from PSA. Great fun to shoot with, ammo is just expensive at 47 to 55 cents a round.

Thinking about getting a 10.5 inch 5.56 since I already have the pistol lower to play around with.

I bought their 10.5 inch 5.56 with the fluted flash can and Magpul MBUS, mated to a PSA pistol lower with SBA3 brace. A very balanced set up. Fired it for the first time today and it was a dream. The sound from the flash can is interesting. There's a berm at about 300 yards on our rifle range. Every time I'd fire, I'd hear the round going off at the rifle, then the echo coming off the berm. It sounded like a cannon being fired back at me.

Finally got mine. It didn't take long for the prices to start creeping back up, though.

If things go to crap the distributors will be almost giving them away! Something's better than nothing.
