One case of ammo per day is nothing I would complain about, much less afford.
I was at a Bass Pro Shop today and they had zilch. Unless you were looking for shotgun shells.
I cannot believe the shortage of 44 Spl./44 Mag. I would have thought that would stay in stock as semi-autos are the rage now.Ammo is crazy as everyone has written.
Just checked Midway, only 1 Underwood 44 mag loading in stock, no 44 spcl. Thought they would have more.
I bought 500 rds. of 44 Spl. from SGAmmo yesterday, they were out of all 44 Mag.They still have some calibers at decent prices. There was no 9m/m or 45acp.in stock.
Thanks skyfall, I immediately clicked my SGAMMO.COM link and found some .40 FMJ and JHP, and got sticker shock !
But again thanks for the heads up.
Went for my nightly visit to Rural King tonight on the way home for work. Bought a 525 round brick of Remington Golden Bullet for $20.99. Have $50/week to spend in ammo and at .04/round it is hard to pass up.
Also had a decent selection of AR's tonight. Had Sig Tread, S&W, Ruger AR556, and Adams Arms.
Academy Sports had Tula steel case in 223 for $7.50 and 115 grain Winchester white box in 9 mm for $13. I got the limit, three boxes of each. I am not desperate or beating the bushes. I just drop by on ammo days when out grocery shopping. They also had some Tula 7.62x39 and white box 44 magnum.
I find it interesting that you can order ammo online for an AK for almost half the price of 223.
CCI has aluminum 9mm
"Selected quantity for Blazer Aluminum cannot be added to the cart".... not even 1.

It goes quick....was able to order 10 earlier.
The ammo availability is becoming depressing. I don’t think it will get any better any time soon. If I had to guess when, which right now I think is impossible, I’d say Q4 2021/Q1-2 2022. I fear this will really hurt the industry and community as a whole. New shooters who either can’t find or can’t afford ammo will lose interest and move on. I understand all the logistical and business decisions that go into this conundrum, but I think the industry/community as a whole needs to be cognizant of that possibility. I know that I can’t afford to pay the inflated prices for ammo, even if I could find it right now.
I went to Bass Pro today for boots and they had some ammo in stock. I bought the following:
100 pack - 9mm Remington UMC 115 grain $25.99
200 pack - .45ACP Sig Sauer Elite Performance FMJ for $79.99
Pickin's were slim at Cabela's and SW this past Tuesday, but I did find a few things....

I went to my local Academy Sports the other day and picked up 3 boxes of Remington “red box” flat nose 9mm range ammo ($13.99 a box). They do not get a lot of ammo but they still get ammo on the regular basis for “walk-in” customers to pick up up to 3 boxes. My local indoor range also sells ammo in popular calibers with a “2-box per customer per day” limit.
It’s not like pre-pandemic, but I can still find ammo locally, even though I cannot find ammo online for the same price.
I have three LGS that I visit on a regular basis. A couple boxes here a couple boxes there and I think I will be good by election day.
Gander outdoors is about the only place I’ve been able to find anything here in west tn, and they haven’t changed their prices
So far this week I have picked up 6 boxes of .40 WWB FMJ at my local Academy for $21.95 per box! At other LGSs I got 200 rounds of 9mm +P 124gr Golden Sabers, one box of GS in 38 Special and a couple boxes of Hornady CD in .45. A little here a little there and it adds up.
Ammo for the .380 has literally disappeared no one has it even my most reliable store has been out for several weeks, the guys there say it's the hardest caliber for them to get.
I have done both 357 barrel for .40 and the opposite. I have been saying for 2 years to buy up a couple police trade glock 22's or 23's for around 300 dollars. Ammo is still more available and with the 357 sig barrel that is an awesome defensive gun.
Want some .40 ammo? Or 357 Sig! These prices may look good after the election.
