I always used any of the premium 147 grain JHP in my G26. At the time, Ranger was the king of the hill. I believe HST is at present. Standard pressure round has the least loss of velocity in the shorter barrel. Will have full expansion as well.

You can probably feel comfortable with any of your G19 rounds in your G26. Certainly the Cor-Bon DPX should be fine. However, I do load a different round in my 26 than my 17. I use standard 147 HSTs in my 17 and 127+p+ in my 26 (+250fps).

I am running BH 124gr+PXTP in my G26. Accurate, reliable, expands well, available, makes 1220fps in the short bbl.

I just go with what ever I have after I shoot up the ammo in the gun on a few times a year usually 147 Ranger T or HST

    I flip-flop between 127g +P+ Rangers and 124g +P HST's in my G26. Just depends on my mood.

I'm thinking about switching to Gold Dot 124g +P in the near future (not the Short Barrel version, I don't think they're worth paying 2.5x the price).

That's pretty hot ammo! I'll have to look for some of that.

I really think your 26 will handle anything your 19 will------at least that's how its been for me.

Yes it is moving. WHat got me interested was handloading the 124grXTP at 357sig vel. It works a lot better than 9mm vel, better expansion & penetration. Unfortunately, Hornady doesn't load it to +P, but BlackHills does.:wavey:

I keep Corbon DPX in my G26. In fact in all my 9mms. It's an outstanding load in every way. Of course, you my need to sell one of your kids to afford it but, much more in line cost wise than a couple years ago.

Federal 115 jhp (9bp). Very accurate and has a good track record.

Please practice with your carry ammo exactly as you would need to use it. Remember as private citizens we are responsible for every round that leaves the barrel, maybe not at that moment but later in a civil court.

IMO, you only need to practice w/ equiv carry ammo. You gain no bebefit using $1/rd loads for practice. Use a handloaded or factory load that mimics recoil & POI. Shoot off your carry ammo once or twice a year to have fresh ammo & remain familiar w/ any minor handling qualities.:dunno:

    Howdy fred..

Where are you getting the BH 9 mil ammo from? I looked at Cables a few weeks ago when we were there and it was like $40.00 per 50ct.

I didn't know if you ordered from BH or who or where ?

    Thanks !

    Stay safe my friend. ;)

Midway had it a couple months ago. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=461864 Appears to be out of stock. I like it in my little G26, when I have to carry small, it's lighter than packing my OM.:wavey:

Thanks bud. Out of stock is right ! Ouch ! That seems to always be the case don't it. :faint:

Well, I guess when I can, just call Cabelas in Ft. Worth and make sure they got some, and drive in and get it. I really like the XTP, and the GD as well in the 9mm. Looks like their (BH) offering is pouring outta there pretty good, and if your getting those figures on Vel with the G27, it 'should bump up' a couple FPS or so with the G19. I'll give 'em a call next few weeks or so.

Yeah, as you well know, it is the 1911 for me all the way, and hey, mines all steel. I'm used to it and all, but that G23 and the new toy now G19, is like a feather compared to the almost 40oz. loaded M1911. If I carry one of the other two a day or so, it is hard to stick the iron sides Mex style down the back of the Wranglers again. Ha Ha.

Thanks fredrick. Give me a shout some time and catch me up on how its goin amigo. I still got to shoot those "other bullets." (the cast jobs). I will this spring. ;)

    Good shooting !

Yeah, i can't fault the XTP, old school, but they do work. I would expect 1250fps out of the G19, pretty damn good for a whimpy 9mm! The price ir right too:wavey:
