Went around yesterday looking for anything. Shelves were empty all around town. I have plenty in storage, but nothing I am willing to take to the range.

I have all the centerfire ammo I'll ever need for when SHTF, plus enough to go to the range regularly for a couple years. I'll buy at reasonable prices but I am not paying gouged priced like $1 per round of .223 or $20 a box for 9mm FMJ.

.223 is down to $.60 a round for brass cased, but 9mm is still $.50 a round and .22LR is still selling $50 per 550 box.

I see ARs selling for $900-$1000 still

I can't even find 12 ga bird or skeet shot. Is there anything we can do to get things back to flush where I can buy whatever I need when I need it at a reasonable price?

And just where is all of this ammo going? Is the federal government buying it all up right from the manufacturer?
