I actually would like an all steel 1911 in the sub 500 range.

I am not really sure what I want... in a 1911. I like the idea of buying a less expensive one and then upgrading the areas that matter to me as I learn more about the platform.

But the biggest hurdle is They are so big... My Kahr P45 is tiny, it is accurate and it is super easy to carry. I just don't see what putting a boat anchor on my belt does that the Kahr does not do...

If I had a BBQ gun it would be a 1911.

I thought I'd like one, but then saw its picture. A classic design completely uglified. The Colt Cobra designer must've got ahold of it. Who has a finger that big?
Wilson Combat came out with something similar back around the turn of the century. Cost more than $400 and wasn't around very long. It's not the first plastic one to be tried.
    It is imported.

The pic! What nonsense...the MHS pin hole has cracked through to the bottom of the grip frame already. Big surprise.

Wtf? If you're going to machine, mold, or print out a new 1911 grip frame........Why the f do you make the backstrap STILL shaped like an obsolete 1890's era pistol?

    So no.

I put alot of time and money to make a pistol fit me, and shoot well. I have no interest in out of the box Rugers and such.

That picture doesn't really look too bad. I might go for one of those as a next gun.

Interesting. But would not do with the finger grooves.

I paid less than $500 for the Springfield Mil-Spec in my avatar a little over a year ago. They were $450-500 everywhere pre-china virus but it would probably be hard to find one now.

There was a run on it here like toilet paper when the Wu-Flu lockdown first started. I haven't seen it in glass bottles in years.
