The level of detail is ridiculous. I find myself not wanting to trust him that they are really paint!

Amazing rendering of reflective surfaces which are very difficult to capture.

I know several photo realistic artists. I saw one, my favorite, that was a cup of coffee and a slice of lemon pie on a table in a diner. Original painting was asmost six feet square. Shot down to magazine size it looked real.

Even knowing how they acheive it I still find it amazing. different ones use different methods. One guy digitizes the image with a computer and it becomes almost a paint by number color application. If he paints yur head the original will like sixty by eighty inches. Shot down small enougn it becomes photo realism.

In the slide show look at the Ice Palace, 24x36 acrylic and fluid mechanics is like 22x42. full size they are great, and shot down to magazine size they are absolutely photographic.

I know one guy who does nothing but junk yard scenes, cars and house trailers. I know another one who does nothing but gumball machines, and another who does marquees.

His work is indeed amazing. I was under the impression that most of the art world was trampled over with the Impressionism Style.

    That is incredible.

My daughter (an Artist) presented me with a 2' x 3' painting of a 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster with amazing chrome and light reflections in it. It is my pride and joy.

Thanks Vart. Go to google and look up Nicola Wood and her photo realistic auto paintings,
