from SA!!! My TRP Operator is coming back from the Custom Shop and will be here tomorrow!! It's Christmas Eve and I am so excited I can't wait to see it. Truly a first class operation with this company. From sending it in, to talking to Dave, and than the fast turn around time. This all happened in a little less than a month!

Will post some pics and the build sheet sometime this weekend.

Well I have some good news and than some bad news! Fedex dropped it off at 11:45 and I opened it up with the build sheet, my old parts, and the pistol. She's a beauty for sure.

A few observations. The slide is tight the first inch of travel or so. I have to literally push on the slide to pull it to the rear. Once it starts to move it's smooth. I'm hoping once it gets broken in this won't be an issue.

The second thing is the slide doesn't totally go flush when it is returned to battery. The hammer drops when I pull the trigger so I'm hoping that it breaks in with some rounds through it. If I push on the slide it goes flush.

The STI long trigger is incredible!!! 3lbs is what I wanted.

So the bad news. I went to take it apart and being this is my first custom pistol I didn't realize I needed a bushing tool. I tried like hell with my finger got frustrated and removed the slide with everything intact. Needless to say I have a pistol in pieces on my reloading table. I called SA and talked to the Custom Shop. Told them what I did and their sending me the synthetic bushing tool at no charge. She said anytime they use a national match barrel and custom bushing you need the tool to remove it. Lesson learned.

I'm kinda bummed, but the tool will hopefully be here by next week. Has anybody else experienced these things I have described. I'm wondering if I should call Dave next week. The sheet says they test fired it so I guess it's ok.
