that Glock QC is lacking compared to other companies? I love the Glock design, but why is it that they can't seem to make a straight frame, a magazine that sits flush with the bottom of the grip, or make the mag release fitment any better, or the gap between slide and frame? I mean when I look at the XD,M&P, Walther, px4,HK etc. these things seem to be less extent or non existent. I know it's all about function, but these things shouldn't exist from a 20+year old design. Not trying to troll, but I'm about to buy a new pistol and everytime I pick a Glock up I notice these things. I guess I need to just get over it.

Yes, you are the only one. Don't worry, that's what makes you "special".

you may want to post this in one of the other forums. The Glock-aid runs strong here.

I'm fairly confident that my pignosed GLOCKs with all their gaps will probably outlast said m&p, XD, Walther, HK and Beretta pistols so I try not to worry about it myself.

Glock makes the curve/pignose at the end of the frame on purpose. It is to help vent more of the heat away from the polymer closes to the barrel. As far as the mag not sitting flush i cant really answer. The mag release is fine by me though.

Quite simply, even with these seemingly unbelievable travesties of aesthetics, it has one of the most reliable setups period. Unless of course its a 30SF.

Honestly though, many spend $500 on a RIA or Para GI Expert, only to realize that they are plagued with issues. For the same money, you could purchase a firearm that may not have the tight slide to frame tolerance, and the exchangeable grips, but the end all; be all of handguns is that they work when you need them. This isnt a beauty contest, albeit many of us are quite fond of the Glock firearms elegant design.

Im not saying that Glock is not without its faults. It seems of late that their quality control issues do not stem to aesthetics, but function. Numerous issues with certain models.

I'm beginning to wonder if they have shares in Toyota.

Sir, if you will step over to the next display counter I will show you a custom 1911. All the lines are straight and the tolerances are tight. This model is only $3000 and it never jams more than once per magazine. You can get that fixed for another $1000. Most folks solve this by not shooting theirs. But she's a beaut, ain't she sir.?
    Shall I wrap 'er up?

Any proof or documentation, or are you just piling on now that you have "moved on" to bigger and better guns?

WHAT! So let me see if I understand what you're saying. Glock closes the gap up front to vent MORE heat away?

Wouldnt that be like closing a window to let heat OUT of your house? Wouldnt it make more sense to OPEN the window to let heat out?
    Where did you hear this?
Why do some have it and others dont?
