I understand he studied theater or something like that. That's why his show is quite different from other cooking shows. I once saw a behind-the-scenes show on how he produces them. Very interesting.

The new Good Eats is on The Food Channel starting tonight at 10:00 pm Eastern. I wonder if it will be better than the Good Eats rewind programs.

Thank you for posting this info Adjuster.
He's the only TV chef that I can follow. I like the way he explains processes, and I've made many of his dishes.

Love that show; the science of it was my favorite part.....

He did a short series called Feasting on Asphalt where he and some friends rode their motorcycles (BMW adventure tourers) around the US, checking out regional foods and doing stuff like making stew by putting a foil wrapped container on the bike's engine during the ride. It was a phenomenal road trip show.....

He has also done some revisits. He went back to old shows and redid them with different results. Changed things he learned after the original show.

    Oh Lord!
Don't tell my wife. She would watch the food network 24/7 if she could get it on her smart watch.

Alton Brown is the only thing I'll watch on the Food Network. When I am trying to figure out how to cook something I will frequently look up his shows.

By the way I read an interview he gave where he mentioned his guns. He was debating which was protecting which, his HK protecting his Mossberg or vice versa. It was classic Alton but just about guns.

Great to see him back. Once I discovered the original Good Eats all things cooking started to make sense.

I couldn't cook anything back then; now I kill with ribs, and all other sorts of dishes. I'd love to shake his hand.

I enjoyed both episodes, especially since they displayed the point-making humor of the original. The “TSA” was a hoot! The two “Reloaded” episodes that followed were also great, especially the one featuring his “sister” Marsha on fish & chips.
