Hey BoGs! My father has been thinking of getting either a Glock 19 or a compact/commander 1911 in case we wont be able to find a replacement extractor for the CZ. I know full sized 1911 has lots of parts available, but how about for the compact/commander sized ones? Does the Glock have good parts availability here in the Phil?

You'd have no problems in terms of parts availability for both guns. That said, I'd suggest the Glock 19 for an all-around gun. Parts are plenty (not that you'll need it immediately) at Final Option.

Thanks for the quick replies. :) Which parts usually fail on Glocks? It would be good to purchase parts in advance so in case something breaks, it would be fixed immediately.

If you still will carry the CZ, you should realize magkaiba sila ng grip angle ng glock
Your cz will point low and vice versa

If my father decides to purchase a Glock, hes probably going to start carrying that too and maybe leave the CZ as a secondary/backup gun. :)

I'd replace the stock plastic sights with metal ones. Any reputable brand will do, though a lot of BOGs swear by Meprolights. Spare trigger springs would be a good idea.

And use dummy rounds when dry firing. You'll thank us later.;)

Though ill get an hk usp in 9mm first before a glock 19. But thats just me

How much is a new Glock 19 in manila? Our local PB has it at 47k with license. How is that price? Which 1911 compact/commander brands are available locally?

There is a recent thread saying that regular framed G's are P37,800 at Twin Pines and Trust Trade. Around P42++ with licence.

I would not change anything on mine except for a front nightsight. I don't expect something to go wrong with it especially if you use factory ammo.

for daily carry a g26 is hard to beat(12 rounds 9mm+p+). i think twin pines is offering good prices on glocks. most people advise on keeping a spare trigger spring and recoil spring. the stock sights are fine but steel is better:) a g19 is also good for occasional carry.

Well, Glocks don't break easily even the springs. You may wear out the plastic sights. Best thing is just buy lots of ammo and magazines.

Thanks BOGs! Will try to look at options.
