Mas,

I recently purchased an LCP as a BUG or carry gun when I'm in a suit/uniform that wont allow anything bigger. I understand your feelings about the effectiveness of the .380 round and carry bigger calibers with JHP whenever possible.

Given that you must trade off expansion for penetration with a .380, what are your thoughts on loading the magazine by alternating HP, FMJ?

Is there any merit to this idea or could it cause a problem for some reason? Or would one be better off just loading all FMJ or all JHP?

Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with us here, it is greatly appreciated.

I'd be inclined to load all one or the other. Very few people are able to count their shots, let alone count every second one, when lead starts flying. It's always a good idea to know exactly what's going to come out of the pistol when you pull the trigger.

best,
Mas
