If you notice what t-shirt someone else is wearing in the gym, you’re not working hard enough.
I only have three points to make in this thread:
1- if a person’s shirt makes you shake with rage, you aren’t mature enough to carry a gun
2- GS30SF’s posts deliver.
3- in a free country, people have the right to be jerks. It ticks me off too, but see number 1
Ain't that the truth. I go to the gym to work out, not to socialize. Even the eye candy doesn't distract me. At my age I only have a few good years left, I've got to work at it.
I like how the OP isn’t banned.
He must be a valued member.
That my comment about the Left v Right was correct. They both don't mind threats of violence to make you feel bad about your choice of clothing.
I envy the amount of time some people seem to have. Wasting it like a billionaire on vacation. I have to use it more prudently, I don’t have extra to worry about what someone else says or wears, I have to save it for actions and intent.
Starting a verbal altercation and cussing people out is how a lot of violence is triggered. Don't start **** that you're not prepared to finish.
Holy mackerel, 27ish pages....
Here's a bunny with a pancaked!
Would you have been allowed to wear a F Police BLM shirt anywhere in 1960 America without being confronted? Seems our society was healthier back then with a stronger immune system to repel such deviance.
Would an off duty policeman working out at the gym confront the man? Probably not as I think of a friend of mine who is a corrections officer counting down the days to retirement.
He said the worst part of the job is 8 hours of insults from the inmates. Even though these people are the scum of the earth it can wear you down and of course he cannot retaliate without losing his job.
Seems the laws are in the bad guys' favor for now anyway.
Whether good or bad the OP told a story on a thread that now has 11,000 hits. People are interested.
Most people do not reveal much about themselves on forums and when they do it is only good stuff, not bad or potentially embarrassing stuff.
When you observe real life and then read GT you realize not everyone here is telling the truth.
I just watch car racing to see the crashes. ;-)
No, you would not be allowed. Blacks couldn't sit at the same lunch counter either in many parts of the country. I am NOT a BLM supporter, but comparing 1960 to now as 1960 being "healthier" depends on who you were.
Heck, I (my parents) belonged to a WASP country club. Jews and Catholics weren't allowed. Similarly, I went to a private school that didn't allow Jews or Catholics. I don't think it was "healthier" for them.
I almost always read the locked threads. The lock symbol pulls me in like a moth to a flame.
If you were a straight, white Christian male between 18-49, America back in "the good old days" was probably paradise.
Anything else, and you'd be begging to jaunt your marginalized and/or persecuted ass to the here and now...
I agree 100%. Even my neighborhood was all WASP and pretty hoity toity. I remember when the first Italian family moved in. Holy smoke...the teeth gnashing that caused. The 60's was a different world indeed.
ETA: I guess not.
Are you implying Von didn’t really go bowling yesterday?
