I cant picture the Air Marshals being too wild about this...

I have some reservations, but I can't say I'd be against it.

(Disclaimer: I don't know any FAMs, nor am I in LE, so that's simply my opinion)

I can see it happening with active LEOs that have completed the flying while armed course, but not going much further than that. Right now federal law enforcement officers can fly armed on-duty and off-duty. That has done a decent share of augmenting the FAMS and as covered in recent news, various DHS agencies will be augmenting the FAMS on domestic flights over the next several months as we run them through the modified training courses.

Good thing my glock is totally plastic and costs more than you make in a month. It already goes on plane rides with me.

Also, if I were flying over NJ, won't they prosecute me for having hollow points?

    Mine's ceramic... the Glock 7.

Not if you do like I do, and hollow out only the ones you're going to use, just before you use them.

Just get some spray on tan, a fake beard, and call yourself Yusef. They will wave you straight through.

I don't know. Not sure if this is a good idea since in a small area like this it would be hard to conceal the gun.
Also, what holster would be acceptable for this?
Most plain close officer use a single retention holster. Not very secure against snatching.

If the Feds carry one, I want to carry one too.
After all, I'm the law abiding citizen they are trying to protect, right?

Law enforcement can already carry onboard aircraft. Non-federal have to have an NCIC entry to TSA from their ORI terminal, and there needs to be a need for it. Maybe this is talking about presumptive need. Need is presumed for federal LE. I can fly armed, but unless I'm working, I usually check my weapon anyway. The problem is making sure that law enforcement personnel are authenticated in a way that is difficult to fake. With the multitude of agencies out there, a better credentialing standard would be required to make sure this works smoothly. Not much change from the way it already is now.

Well, at least some of the fed agencies and so on are starting to get the new and improved harder to fake versions of credentials and ID's from what I have heard. But, you're right, there are a bunch of different types easy to duplicate.

Does this "fed law enforcement" can carry on domestic flights, on or off duty, go towards all fed agencies? I can't imagine the BOP being too happy with me trying this...
