So we're supposed to ignore this thread? Or reply to it? I'm so confused...
I vote NO !!!! I just got a G23 Gen 4 and I love it and I have been on this forum since I got it.
I do not mean to sound like an idiot, but what is the 40 club?
I was intrigued by the thread "Why is the .40 so unpopular " so I put a deposit on a NIB Gen 3 G27 today . Keep this club open !
NO! I just got a G23 and now want a 27 too!
I don't think it is unpopular. In fact, among LE is one of the most common calibers. I have several 40's, but must admit 9mm is cheaper to shoot.
The issue here is that people are posting on other forums...
this for example...
This club needs a leader and a team to do promotions....
What about a shirt for the club? Opportunity for business...
OK I now own a .40 , how do I get a club number ?
Go choose a number that you want that is still available from http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=311622 and tell MarkCO.
Welcome to the club
Nope My favorite Pistol Round. Keep it.
You can keep it open only if you rename it "The .40 Short & Weak Club"...LOL...
Lets give it life.
Still love my .40's
Love My G23! I say keep it open!
have a number of pistols...
But the Glock 23 is the GO TO ...GUN!
Hard to imagine one that is more reliable!
Keep it open
Why close the club that has the name of the best semi-auto pistol cartridge of all time on it?
Long live the .40 S&W! This round kicks ***! It's the 10mm that came to it's senses. It's everything you need and nothing you don't. It does what it does really well and has the street track record to prove it.
The reason the 9mm and .45 people hate it so much is because it takes the argument away from both sides!
Aside from the heaviest .45 loads, the .40 will do everything the .45 can do.
The 10mm people hate it because it's a 10mm with slightly less penetration and excessive penetration isn't something you want against two legged foes.
If the .40 is so bad why do the 9mm,.357 Sig, and .45 crowds always compare their cartridge to the .40? It sure sounds like it's the cartridge to beat because it's the cartridge to have.
It's the .40 for me thanks!
(That ought to stir the pot a bit!)
