Lets talk about different types of AK's magazines? your preferences and ways of using.
Preference is steel commies or ex-commies mags.
Usage is to load them up with bullets then stick'em in the guns.
If I was in your position, I would be asking this question in the AK forum.
An epic thread on AK mag identification, if you haven't seen it yet.
Thank you for your information!!!

I've had good luck with the cheap commie metal mags.
I love the ones that say China on them. I never thought Id say that!
Are the new polymer Bulgarian smooth sided mags any good?
Best AK mags you can buy! I have NEVER had a problem with any of my Chinese mags!
I hear the Bulgarian mags are good as well.
What Can you say about USSR made mags???
No plastic mags in a AK for me!
I have a 75- and a 100-round Chinese drum. Had them for 20+ years....never used them.
They are more of collector's items now because they are worth about $500+ for the both of them!
I'm happy with the new Tapco smooth side Bakelite mags. $14 and made in the USA. I like surplus mags too, but the Tapcos are fine for my use.
