    Wernesgruner 6-packs for $4.49

    Did some research and Wernesgruner is one of the more popular domestic German Pils (Pilsners) in that country. Before the fall of communism the beer was only available in DDR.

    Most beer review sites I checked gave very favorable ratings.

    I like it! It's a very classic Pils with a very nice bitterness and clean finish.

    That would be because Aldi is a German owned grocery store that is one of the biggest chains in Germany.
