Results just came up; again, it was a superbly executed match, and I'm definitely planning on attending next year. Hope to see some familiar faces this weekend at Bremerton's inaugural match-I'll be attending on Saturday, shooting my G21 (I'm lending my G17 to a shooting buddy who will be at his first GSSF match-I'm trying to make him a convert, despite his mutterings along the line of "Gumby gun...combat Tupperware..." I'm fighting his life-long alliegence to those things steel-and-blued...

    Best, Jon

Have fun up there Jon. I'm not recovered from having my wrist 'scoped 3 weeks ago to shoot, so I won't be making the trip.

Looks like Raye Gunter got bumped to Master.

Brian-We'll miss you. I had a very enjoyable time talking with you at Albany. Congratulations on your win-you posted some outstanding times. Best on your speedy recuperation-both for your and your wounded truck from the match.

    Best, Jon

Looking at the competition final stats , what does "pistol membership" mean listed for Jeff Cordoza placing 21st?

On the other pistol prizes they call it random pistol or pistol place.

    Just curious?

Congradulations to all the winners, it was a fun match.

The "Pistol Membership" means he won the drawing for a pistol for introducing a new member. The "Random $50" was just part of the random drawing.

Just out of curiosity, why is a Master allowed to shoot in Am Civ and why is a Master allowed on an Am Civ team? There is a person with the (*) by his name in those categories and I just was interested in knowing why, that's all. Any information is greatly appreciated, and thanks.

Just a guess... Only thing I can figure is that:

    a. AC category was assessed for awards first (he's still an amateur at this point)
    b. gets promoted based on his SubCompact win (and now gets an asterisk by his name)
    c. asterisk now shows up anywhere his name does, as it's a function of the database.
    d. mention of promotion gets inadvertently left off results in SubCompact.

That's the only reason I can figure the AC score wasn't dumped into MS. Just a perception but to their credit it seems (to me anyway) that GSSF has usually, when considering the overall results & at what point someone gets promoted, tried to maximize the prizegiving rather than minimize it.

I see a fine gentleman shot another  clean UL round , which should put him in between himself in terms of clean UL matches
 Seriously, nice shooting Dale!
    Coming to Hallsville?

Walangkatapat, just go to www.gssfonline.com and go to "Match Results" and then to "Albany Oregon" to see the results.

That explains the pistol membership. Jeff Cordoza was a new shooter and new member and he is a heck of a guy, I am glad he won a pistol.

Albany did a great job with this match and I can't wait till next year. Hope to see all of you there.
