I want to carry 8, 30 round mags. I prefer an LBV style with an exposed web belt that attaches through loops (Think USGI LBV). I want to be able to shoot prone easily. it MUST have padded shoulders. Dont understand why the molle doesnt. I know its made to be worn under an IBA but it should still be padded.

I love this system but not sure how well I can shoot prone in it.

Can I wear a plate carrier under that? I want to wear a low profile single front plate carrier. Would prefer something in cammo.

That one holds 12 ak mags and looks like a US LBV. I can also get it in woodland. I could load 12 mags for if I was in a vehicle and ditch some if I end up on foot. I want flaps that will keep stuff out of the mags. I dont like open top set ups. It must be strong and durable so I can wear it through a few classes and train on a regular basis. My USMC friends said the Eagle looks hard to shoot prone and move with. How hard would it be?

I dunno how you think that you'd be able to lay flat on 6 mags strapped to your front.

Rigs that are appropriate for shooting prone don't have anything on the front. All the mags hang to your sides.

Personally, I love my MOLLE LBV. I don't miss the padding at all. Why would you need padding? The most I've ever hung off my LBV was 30 pounds or so, that was ammo + a day worth of food + water + a radio.

What are examples of prone shooting rigs with padded shoulders? My prob with the Molle is the lack of padding in shoulders. I have a blackhawk and USGI molle but dont like them.

If you need padding on your LBV in my opinion you have too much crap on it. Like I said, I love my MOLLE LBV, but if you really want padding go with the ALICE-issue LBV. The mags look like they hang to the front but if you have it adjusted properly they actually are in basically your armpits.

You should never have your LBV closed this much...
