Don't own a fanboat but they are fun. Things to consider are seating size ( capacity ), fiberglass vrs aluminum hulls, engine size, muzzlers ( fl is interacting a muffler requirements ), and getting ued to floor paddles.

Airboats have alot of use in the glades and can get into area must common boats couldn't dream of to include std OB or mud hog equiped ob.

one other thing, research your prop pitch and drive units plays alot into the performance or lack or performance. Also these new counter rotating props is suppose to be good also. You might want to look at the airboat traders and get an idea on what you want and how much "people" ask for them. You will find that airboats are $$,$$$.$$ once you buy or build it to what you want.

    Hope this helps you.
