Anybody here try Aguila ammo in 45ACP through a Glock21?

    Is this good range ammo?

Made in Mexico, is it truly non-corrosive?

    I've used their ammo in 22, 9mm, 40, 45 and 30Carbine and it was good stuff. Yes, it's N/C.

I've used Aguila in 9mm and it was good ammo.

And all modern ammo is non-corrosive primed.

To tell you the truth, I don't really trust Aguila Ammo.

Here in Mexico it is 90% of all ammo and I've had several FTF with .22LR, 9mm and .380

Good for range use, but I would trust Federal or other US or European made ammo for duty or self defense.

Regarding corrosion, I've never had problems with Aguila, considering that I regularly clean my weapons but sometimes I've let some of them dirty for a while.

I have had the same problem with Remington and Winchester .22 rimfire. The latest iteration of WWB and UMC in 9mm has the same reputation with me for duds. Magtech, PMC, and American Eagle is good practice ammo.

The premium stuff [GoldDot, Golden Sabre, Ranger, etc.] is still worthwhile.

I've never had a problem with it.

I rank FMJ ammo into four categories, both in quality and price (you really do get what you pay for for the most part):

    - low end (Russian steel cased)
    - lower middle (WWB, UMC)
    - middle (Blazer, Aquila, PMC, Magtech, Am. Eagle, etc)
    - high end (Speer Lawman)

The difference between middle tier and high end is minimal.

I put 50 rounds of this through my G21SF this past weekend with no problems. Every round went bang like it should have. Fed just fine too. But this is some pretty dirty ammo. Overall I'm happy with it for range ammo.

I've never used it, but if I find it for a good price here I will try it.

Hack, seems AIMSURPLUS.com is selling some for what seems like a decent price.
