wondering what everyone has, id like to get a 10-22 this year, with tech sights and m24 sling. Id like a real classy, cool looking stock, and it would need dual sling swivels.

I'm trying to hunt down a traditional style wood stock at the moment too. It's kinda limited on the more traditional wood stocks when it comes to after market because everyone seems to want those thumb hole stocks setup for the bull barrels.

    -The Explorer

    -The Classic rimfire

Altamont makes a traditional style stock in walnut with checkering. They make all the Ruger stocks for the Talo exclusives and they quoted me $175 for a stock.

Factory wise, there are the Target and DSP stocks.

This is what I run with Tech Sights and 1907 sling. It is optimal for a scope because you can't turkey neck(appleseed term for ya) as much on this stock because of the cutout above the pistol grip.

Boyds Tacticool that I finished myself to match my Garand:

It has dual studs up front for a sling and a bipod, and one out back. The studs were included and are fastened with nylock nuts, so you can have them 'loose' so they rotate, but will stay secure in the stock.

Midway sells them unfinished and boyds sells direct but it has a rubbery black coating on it. Why buy a wood stock and put bedliner on it......

I just love the look of that stock but I just don't know how well it will run iron sights for me or else I would of bought one already.

This is the "cool"est after-market wood stock I have...

Thanks for the pics, yours is the first of the Explorer stock I have seen besides the factory picture. How well do you think the Trailblazer would run the Tech Sights with the comb?

BTW, Sorry Diesel for kinda taking over your thread. :embarassed:

i wish i woulda gotten the trailblazer for mine instead of the red explorer. when i was looking it appeared from factory pics that the explorer wasnt much lower than the trailblazer, but it is enough to make a difference. i had to put a cheek pad setup on my explorer, which is not pictured. i think you will like the trailblazer a lot, even with irons.

Just bought the Boy Scout commemorative model with monte carlo stock. I mainly got for the beautiful walnut stock, but the laser engraved Norman Rockwell picture and Boy Scout motif is pretty cool. :wavey:
