I am convinced that Boise St should be awarded a share of the title... Bama played well, but with all do resepect, got lucky in that game. I believe Boise St could play with both of those teams... whether they would beat them, who knows. I do think the games would be close...

your thouhgts based on the game last night (if you saw it)

Boise St. doesn't belong on the same poll as Alabama or Texas much less the same football field.

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahaahha

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Boise St. barely beat TCU. Overrated at #4.

Let them play Alabama's schedule and then if they are undefeated they can complain.

    9/5 at 7 Virginia Tech W 34 - 24
    9/12 vs. Florida International W 40 - 14
    9/19 vs. North Texas W 53 - 7
    9/26 vs. Arkansas W 35 - 7
    10/3 at Kentucky W 38 - 20
    10/10 at 20 Mississippi W 22 - 3
    10/17 vs. 22 South Carolina W 20 - 6
    10/24 vs. Tennessee W 12 - 10
    11/7 vs. 9 LSU W 24 - 15
    11/14 at Mississippi State W 31 - 3
    11/21 vs. Chattanooga W 45 - 0
    11/27 at Auburn W 26 - 21
    12/5 vs. 1 Florida W 32 - 13
    1/7 vs. 2 Texas

I see Boise St. going maybe 8-4 (LSU, VT definite losses Likely losses to Arkansas, Tennessee and Auburn) regular season then losing to Florida AND Texas post season.

So best case with Alabama's schedule Boise is 10-2. worst case 7-5 regular season. and 0-2 post season.

    EDIT:

And Florida would do to them what they did to Cincy... put up half a hundred on them then call off the dogs and play the cheerleaders and still win convincingly.

and you both think Bama and Texas looked good yesterday? I think the Boise St offense would have done just as well as Texas did with a QB that has not taken a snap all year!

was Nebraska overrated too? Texas shouldnt even be in this game but for a crazy last second play to beat Nebraska??? To say they dont belong in the same poll is nuts...you are saying they are not even a top 25 team??? Are you crazy?

BCS stands for Behind on Common Sense. You can speculate all day on paper, but just play the game. Warm weather SEC teams would shudder to take a ride up to Idaho in November. There's no playoff in the works, so Boise needs to schedule more top tens in their regular season.

Alabama could play Alabama's schedule again and may end with a couple of losses... whats your point?

Thats the problem... nobody will take them on in the regular season. However, I do think they have a decent non-conference schedule next year.

That Alabama could play Boise's every year and be undefeated too... but Boise couldn't play Alabama's and dream of going undefeated.

    EDIT:

How many first round draft picks does Boise have on the field? How many does Florida, Alabama, or Texas have? Who has the best coaching in the country... once again not Boise.

They will play Oregon St and VTech next season... I suppose if they win both of those games and go undefeated again, you will come up with some other excuse!!!!

My point is they should share it, or play the game!

They also play Oregon next year. They held Oregon and that crazy legs quarterback to 8 points earlier this season.

OHHHHH OREGON ST... AND Vtech... Wow... stop the presses.

Alabama is the undisputed champion of 2009, this is our 13th National Championship. We have all 60 AP #1 votes. You can cry all you want. Alabama won it on the field against superior competition, we got the Crystal Football, and Boise St. can be the Peoples National Champion awarded by Golf Digest.

ok with that said... you may have the weakest national champ in years... your QB through for 50 yards and you almost gave up a 22 point lead to a fresman qb that didnt take a snap all season...

I retract my original statement and want to change it to: Boise St would BEAT Alabama if they were to play a neutral field!!!

I was very sad to see Texas lose yesterday. I'm actually a Gator, so maybe it has something to do with hating Alabama, but in the 4th quarter it looked like that rookie was gonna rally his team and possibly win! Shame though he had to fumble it at his own 3 yard line.

Well our QB had cracked ribs... not to mention that we put up 200 rush yards against supposedly the #1 run defense in the nation. But you can keep dreaming because thats the only way that Boise St. is gonna get anywhere near a national title.

I would like to see an SEC-Big 10 showdown. It would be similar to the basketball ACC-Big Ten contests.

Venues would be rotated each year. The first year would be all night games in mid-November. There would be no sideline heaters for the visiting teams:

    Florida at PSU
    Alabama at Iowa
    LSU at Wisconsin
    Georgia at Michigan
    Ole Miss at OSU
    Arkansas at Minnesota
    Tennessee at Illinois
    Miss. State at Northwestern
    South Carolina at Michigan State
    Kentucky at Purdue

Man Big-10 fans must never tire of getting thier **** kicked in by the SEC. Also why does Alabama have to play some scrubs like Iowa let Ole Miss play Iowa and we continue the SEC sponsored beatdown of Ohio State.
