    Good afternoon folks,

What is a good after market barrel for the glock35 (cal .40)? It should be a "drop-in", no need for refitting or gunsmith work. How much and where in metro manila can we buy one? My son is worried about the news he hears about glock22/23/27/35 kabooms, so we are looking for a non-glock barrel.

    Maraming salamat.

    Gumagalang,
    MAO

or just clean your barrels more often. Better yet, use only FMJs and watch those brass of yours.:)

    mao,

i was also looking for G35 replacement barrel (5.2 inches) but to no avail.

yun available are barsto and wilson after market barrels for G22 and G17, w/c cost about 17k for bartso and 16k for the wilson sa store ni bubut jimenez.

what you can do is order via internet sa states but the problem would be how to ship it here.

habang wala pa and your son is using the OEM barrel, suggest to always use FMJ or copper plated heads, safeload using slow burning powder (VV N340).

always check the shells for bulges or signs of weakness in the material. those should go the trash bin na.

    happy and safe shooting.

    stan

Many thanks guys for the insights.

I see that ammo quality is key to glock kb.

    All the best to all!

which brand would you recommend for a threaded barrel?

    KKM? Jarvis? Barsto?

pistol is glock26. i want it to just drop in with no more extra fitting if possible.

    the threading must be 1/2x28

i would like input from somebody who actually has a threaded glock barrel in any caliber (preferably 9mmx19), nevermind if it doesn't actually have a can attached yet, i'd just like to know which barrel has given you the best satisfaction in terms of accuracy, and consistency after installing it *without* having to fiddle with the rear sight.

    thanks

jarvis makes fine threaded barrels:) it drops in really tight, after a few hundred rounds it is smooth with no play. but i think they dont make it in 9mm. for g26 you can get a g19 bbl and have it threaded:)

Me statistics ba tayo ng KB? Ilang ang KB sa various calibers, type of ammo, type of barrel (kung original or after market)etc? Parang mas prone yata and .40 cal sa KB.

Got a Wilson Barrel for my Glock 21. Some gunsmithing was necessary. Been using this barrel exclusively since I got it early this year.

had a case failure with g21, lack of case support is the cause.

seen a friends g23c bbl split open:)

I've seen a lot of Stormlake barrel for Glock in the web. This maybe a good sub for the orig barrel.

thanks cebuboy, but i think the g19 barrel might be too long, and i am not too comfy about having it threaded, but thank you for your input.

anyway, talking about Kabooms! i don't fully understand why a 45 acp glock would be destroyed by a case failure, i mean 45 acp operates at low pressures. the 40 i can understand a bit more. i suspect though that pressure is only one aspect, though the 45 acp has lower pressure, it will have greater volume (of expanding gases) as compared to the higher pressure 9x19 for example.

    anyway, thanks to all.

the g21 is famous for leaving a glock smile in the spent shells, sometimes when that shell is tired (reloaded many times) it just gives way. there was no damage to the gun only burnt fingers:), the mag was blown out of the gun and with a bit of slapping around got it to work again.

BOG's who have Glock 26 can you give your opinions on the compatibility of a g26 barrel to other 9x19 glocks and vice versa.

This question is bugging me for ages kase i dont have a glock.

You can use a G19 barrel on a G26, but that's it, you can't use the G26 on the G19 (for the obvious reason of length...)

I have a Federal barrel for the G19 that my dad borrows to shoot lead through his G26...works fine, no hiccups whatsoever.

We also tried using my stock G19 barrel on his 26, no problems either...

Threading an aftermarket G19 barrel for use on a 26 sounds good, I know that there are some compensators for Glocks available online.

    I have a Bar-sto g23 barrel and a Federal g27 threaded barrel.

They're both the same length. They both work very well on a G27.

Good luck with the threading, Kaiser. let us know how it works out.
