Was looking for an alternative aerial view of my neighborhood, because Google Maps doesn't have anything of any decent resolution..and found Bing Maps..

The "Bird's Eye" view is spectacular, and I can even see my daughter in one of the photos!

Anyone else been to this site?

Yeah, I have used it many times. The birds eye view cuts off about a block from my house. Google street view also went down every street in our neighborhood except ours. lol. Guess I'm lucky that way.

Bing has a pretty cool "3D" feature. You have to download an add on to use it, but it generates a 3d view of buildings computer generated off the aerial view. Its pretty cool cause you can go around a town and it looks like an old doom game.

To know that the public can see this, but The government could probably identify the weeds in your grass....

Thats how I've been doing house hunting from Korea....get a good view of the outside and how the others around the neighborhood keep thier places...I have difficulty looking at my house since its on a military installation I figure.

Still don't get it. Should airline passengers in window seats be blindfolded? HH

Here's the best I can get of my place. "Birds eye view" of my house is not available.

About a year ago one of my friends at work looked up his house on birds eye. There was a car in the driveway that wasn't his. His wife doesn't work. You do the math.

In this case, the math didn't add up. The picture was actually taken before he bought the house.

But it could have been an awesome story.

Thanks...we like it, and it is very peaceful, private and quiet..

I like it a lot less when I'm mowing/trimming/weedwhacking, at least every other weekend, because the area around the house and the grapevines up and down the driveway, turn the place into a jungle if I don't stay on top of it..

I tolerate the yardwork, but sometimes wonder if we should sell and get something less maintenance intensive, sometime in the future. I don't want to be doing this much yardwork in my 50's..
