I want to add a AR15 to the Glock family here is my question , thinking of either a Bushmaster BMBC WA3S or a Colt LE 6920 now the cost between the Bushy and the Colt is about $200. more and Iam willing to pay that if its worth it. Now a few of my friends have the Bushy, one has the A2 and the other fellow has the A3 and they like them very much. I would like to see what you folks think of the two makes and any ideas of a better model than those two?
Thanks I value the opinions on here, this forum has helped me a bunch with my glocks.
    Thanks

I've owned both and never had any issues with either.
I would chose the Colt over the Bushmaster.

    I don't know that a Colt is $200 better than a Bushmaster.

The Bushmaster is a fine AR, but yes, the Colt is $200 better than a Bushmaster.

Whatever AR you own-you will always want a colt. Unless of course you buy a Colt now.

I would get the Colt over any Bushmaster without thinking twice (if you have the extra cash). I have had a number of Bushmaster carbines with improperly indexed barrels and while that probably isn't that big of a deal with some people I will say that I have never had a single issue with any of the Colt rifles I have owned.

Are they the same in everything except the name?

Is the barrels the same length?
Is the twist rate the same?
Is one a flat top or fixed handle?
    And so on.

If they are the same then personally I'd go with the Colt. I own a Colt and have shot a Bushmaster and enjoyed both.

In the end, it's all up to you.

Get the Bushy. Colts are slop. Pick up 500rds with the difference.

Yeah, pretty sure since I ordered it from the source. :tongueout: Edit...oh wait...arent you the guy that didnt know Noveske isnt able to stamp the VLTOR uppers with his cross? I think Caesar had to educate you, didnt he? LOL. 10,500 posts and you would think you would have known that. Maybe if you spent more time shooting rather than posting? ROFL.

Get he colt and don't look back. All else aside if you get a good enough price on the colt you'll probably never loose much if any money on it if you ever choose to sell it. The colt will hold its value.

    Obie,

Since you did refer to opinions of other brands in you original post,
I would like to recommend BCM's.
There are plenty of post on the forum here about Bravo Co's AR's,
so I won't get long winded here, but say that I own a Colt and a
    BCM.
The BCM mid-length is a fine shooter and I like the mid-length
better than the carbine system. The quality is every bit as good
as my Colt and the service and warranty from Bravo is excellent.
Can't argue that Colt, Noveske, LMT are all top of the line weapons,
but research the forum about BCM's and go to their website and
    check them out. Good luck.

A few years ago I was looking at the the Colt vs Bushmaster and bought the Bushmaster.
It has been flawless but it wasn't a Colt and last month I bought a 6920. I wish I had done that in the first place. There are other good AR's on the market now but 10-20 yrs from now they will be gone and Colt will still be around.
