Does anyone have any experience with these two safes? I need one that will hold four rifles, six hand-guns and a lot of crap from our old 2.1 cu. ft. non-gun fire safe which we have out grown. My budget is $500 to $800. Here is the short list so far:

Costco has a very nice looking one from Big Horn. A person was looking at them while I was there. They said the smell from it when they opened it sent hubby to the emergency room. He was on one of those little oxygen/tuby tanks when I talked with them. I believe him. Manufactured in China, of course.

The SentrySafe above says it has 4-way adjustable shelves, a large plus. The Stack-on weighs 120 pounds more and has two more locking lugs, eight, than the SentrySafe with six. The Stack-On is also three inches wider.

Both of them have those plastic key pads and a key of you get locked out. I saw a SentrySafe key while looking at a SentrySafe locker at Walmart. It looks you could pick it with a hair pin. My preference is a combination dial type.

So, I need a gun safe. You know my budget. Please share your experience with me. Remember that I need minimal room for guns and configurable shelves for all the paper work my wife (and family accountant) has rat-holed over the years. This is after we threw away half of it.

    Thanks in advance,
