Since so many seemed interested in the dog adoption, I thought I would post a followup picture.
Dexter (our first dog) is on the left and the new adopted Rufus is on the right.
They run around until tired and then sleep!

Thats awesome. My brother just adopted a coonhound and it is now best friends with their dachshund. Its funny seeing such a big dog play with a mini dachshund.

That's a great picture. Too bad it was a little dark. Maybe just on my monitor.

    Edit:

I took the liberty of trying to lighten it up some. I may have gone a little too far:

    Awesome!!

Thank you for rescuing a pup from being killed, instead of spending hundreds of dollars on one from a private seller like a lot of people do.

We rescued our dog from the shelter when she was about 6 weeks old.. and that was about 7 years ago! :)

    I love dogs.. lol <3

You did a wonderful thing bringing a pack animal into you pack, and providing him the love and belonging every living thing needs. You are a good person. Thank you.

We did the same thing last August. First rescue we have ever done, and I am happier than I ever thought I could be with a dog. He is sweet and spoiled rotten and full of love for every member of the family. (And he looks kinda like Dexter)

    Congratulations, and good job!

I spoil my dog like crazy, but that's what pets are for!

She absolutely LOVES Frosty Paws - especially the peanut butter flavored ones.

You guys should get a box to see how they like them..

I guarantee they will love it. Mine gets one every night!

They are basically ice cream for dogs. Here is a link to their FB page, you can use the store locator to see if anyone around you carries them:

I had to call & bug the store manager every week for a month to get them to start ordering the peanut butter ones. It was worth it though :)

Those two will be buddies for life. Good on you for lining them up. I hope you and your family have many great years of laughs, playing and companionship with them.
