Well seems like my favorite sight maker, MMC, has taken a dump. So who makes a black (no outline) adj rear sight that's suitable w/a Glock 1.60 front?

No interest in night sights, I use a Dawson Precision Fiber Optic front that's .160 high so I only need the rear.

Duckster, I feel your pain. I found nothing. :crying:

Let me say that in doing my own gun sight research, I found websites with such helpful features as:

    - A Complete Lack Of Specifications! :dunno:
    - The Mixing Of SAE And Metric Measures! :whistling:
    - Illustrations And Pictures That Do Not Represent The Product! :headscratch:

Are we having fun yet?

    You might try Bomar.
I used to have a serrated black blade adjustable on my 45 auto.

Bo-mar sights are no longer made, but you may come across an old set at Brownell's. The Bo-Mar likes a .330 front, which looks like the tail on a 747. If I were to try an adjustable rear sight, I would try the Dawson.

Call Greg at Glock Meister and he'll fix you up with a set of Meprolight adjustables. Put some on my G20 they are fantastic, and well made. I don't even have a problem carrying the gun with them, but i use a galco half harness shoulder strap with a jackass holster, that set up will hide anything under even the thinest shirt and you never know you got it on.

    HTH's answer your question.

    Good luck

    Great minds...

I'd considered this too, as Meps are low-profile, wide notched, combat-type sights, and might work well with a .160 DP FO front sight.

But DoD stated that he didn't want night sights, and I figured he'd just blast me...

You will notice that the Meprolight OEM website doesn't post the sight's specs, and the illustrations (see my earlier list of complaints) look like the sights don't have white markers--which they do--and DoD wants a "black" sight.

    Hey Ray,

Sorry if I am missing something here. The set of Mep adjustables i bought from GM were all black no dots, no lights, no outlines.... front blade rear sight all black.

No, man, I'm missing something! I've never seen the animal you describe--not by Meprolight, anyway!

If memory serves, I might have seen painted dot sights, but no plain black adjustables... :headscratch:

That's really good to know! Thanks!

Huh, their website appears to be down at the moment... :whistling:

P.S. Okay, the site's back up. Hmm, this item is apparently "off-the-menu".

    Interesting...

Once again, no specs given. What's more, it doesn't show the sight on a Glock, and this looks like it may hang-off the back of the slide--a possible issue to the shooter.

Plus, DoD wanted plain black, and this is fairly festooned with white graphics.

Still, nice of you to make an effort! :wavey:

From the description shown there, there are 3 versions. Target (plain), white outline and dots.

    You're right!

I overlooked that--sorry. A lot going on here--got the grill fired up! :grill:

Still no sight specs offered...

Given DoD's preference of a .160 tall FO front sight, we may be looking for unicorns here. :whistling:

You might be on to something here. I found one site that stated it worked w/the std Glock front.

    http://www.galatiinternational.com/...Screen=PROD&Store_Code=GIO&Product_Code=PSGLK

Added: Just ordered 2 from Brownells, the all black is on BO. Got white outline, I'll paint 'em black if the white bothers. If you're a dealer B has a good price on them.

    Thanks for the help.:)

Additional: got the TPU sights, took a lot of fitting to get it installed. Then w/the sights bottomed out the POI was still high. This using a .160 front (OEM height) Going to send them back to Brownell"s.

Looks like the same sights. Might have to try these on my G19.
