Weight at the muzzle helps with flip a lot more than weight in the grip, as long as the gun doesn't get all floppy from hanging all that weight out there.

My AR for CMP has lead weight in stock. Reasoning is to improve balance of the rifle since most ARs tend to want to dip the barrel. My rifle pretty much just sits balanced suppurted with one hand in front of mag well and other hand on grip. How's that for thread drift?

Best weight upgrades and only ones needed are the Carver Custom stainless steel magwell, comes with a brass frame weight and I run a Carver Custom tungsten guide rod and 16 lb spring in an Open division Glock 34. Shoot and shoot often and it wont matter what youre shooting.

Just last month I bought the Carver magwell and Carver stainless uncaptured guide rod for my G21. Both work great and are excellent quality and fit. I'm shooting IDPA, so no tungsten rod allowed.
