First post, Im from the philly area. Thought id say hello to everyone. This is my first gun, a glock 23. Only shot it a few times, but I am ADDICTED...dont wanna put the thing down!

Im going again today. So far I just ordered a 40 to 9 lonwolf conversion for the cheaper amo. The .40 cal amo is killing me, and its only day 3! haha.. you guys like the lone wolf conversions? I liked the idea of using the stock slide, unlike the 22 conversion.

So my discussion is this, This glock addiction is pretty strong stuff huh? Well i look forward to talking with everybody on here, and based on my posts this G23 was a great purchase!

    You're done dude.

I've had mine for 3 weeks.

Spent like $500 last night on night sights, 40-9 barrel, 7 more magazines, ammo, and various other things.

    Zombies and Bank Accounts beware!

haha very true... been meaning to get more magazines....i just got the glock 19 10 round mag, that works with the 23 right? I didint like the mag sticking out the bottem yet, not ready for that

so how much cheaper is that 9mm ammo? Online it didnt look that much cheaper, but i purchase most of my ammo in person anyway... with the shipping it never seems liek that good of a deal, am i right?

Congrats. Just to let you know that any type of aftermarket part you're putting on your stock Glock will lower its reliability.

I picked up a LW 40-9 conversion for my Glock 35 and it was the very first time my Glock had problems...failure to extract mostly; a friend picked one up too after many warnings from me and had the same problem plus failure to feed a round. Contacted Lone Wolf and got the runaround--they did their best to remedy the problem by recommending me to buy different 9mm grains, blah blah. The conversion barrel was a paper weight and now I sold it...glad I did.

I know that you're a newb, so my advice is that if the Fotay cal is too expensive for you: Grow your Glock collection and get a Glock 19.

    Welcome aboard.

I love my G23. The cost of ammo doesn't bother me because I don't go shooting much as it is, but if I did I'd be bankrupt.

    Congrats on your new gun!

Congrats on the G23! I like mine a lot. I bought the LaserMax laser for it that replaces the guide rod. Next up is the 40-9 conversion barrel to save some money on the range, probably buy some bulk ammo which will cut the cost down a bit then when I get some spare cash I see another Glock in my future.

Too bad the G18 is military or LEO only, now that is what I call Glock perfection and power wrapped up in one gun!

I have a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel and G19 magazine in my G23 and love it.

The G23 is a versatile pistol. Congrats.

I have the 40-9 conversion barrel and it works well, usually it seems as if there is a break in period for the new barrel and 9mm mags as mine had a few problems at first and then smoothed right out .

thanks for all the comments guys. This forum is active and will be great when i have questions that i am dying to hear the answer for.

As for the 40-9 being unreliable sometimes, i got it for Range only, so it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

Iv never shot 9mm ammo, is it a lot different feel? Iv heard some glock 40 cal owners want nothing to do with it, other swear by the lone wolf for the range...

Problem was the 9mms are hard to find used around here, but the 40 cals are all over the place...much cheaper

BTW that "glock porn" topic is awsome, you guys have some great pictures on here!

    LOL...

    What he said, +1!!!!!

Then you'll need mags and tacti-cool add ons for each of those...

Then when you get an AR built, you want to build another for another purpose.... CQB, Midrange, Long Distance, Pistol version..... Retro....

    It never ends...

Oh yea, you should look at getting a Gun safe, then a second Bigger one... ;)
