I just added another AK-47 to the collection. It is a fairly used Egyptian Maadi. It looks a little better now than when I bought it. I cleaned it up and did some wood sanding and refinishing.

Good looking AK. You have as many AK's as you do AR's?
I love seeing those AR's you build, good looking rifles

I do not have quite as an extensive AK collection as I have of ARs. Only 7 AKs versus 24 ARs. I would like to add about 3 more AKs. I do have nearly as many ARs as I have 1911s (26).

Why didn't you post this in the AK section!? Congrats on the new Maadi.

Okay, so you know what's next right? A family pic. Come on. Let's go. Let's see them.

Good stuff! I have always like the finish/feel/wood on the Egyptian AKs.

Looks good. Is it one of the older Maadis with the Steyr barrel, or one of the 90's versions with painted receiver? They were the WASR's of the 90's.

I would guess that it is one from the 90's. It is a CAI import. I debated on whether or not to replace the wood. I think I am staying with what it has. I like the mismatched look on this one.
