So, is there an ad block type thing for the iPad?

I use my iPad to cruise the Internet, and there are certian websites, we'll call them "porn" sites, that have lots of annoying pop ups. Would love to not have to deal with them.

I'd say cover them with one hand but I'm guessing you don't have a free hand.

    Are you jailbroken?

Otherwise, no, because apps don't continue to run in the background on iOS.

Ad blockers usually aren't *OS* specific, as much as they are BROWSER specific. For example, even on Windoze... IE doesn't have the plug-in support other browsers do and I don't know of an Ad Blocker for it. But FireFox and Chrome? Yeah.

If you can run Firefox or Chrome on your iPad, you're likely to be okay, but I won't say 100% sure.
