    I was at the range and inserted another magazine. I dropped the slide release and the slide went forward almost all the way. It's about 1/4" from going into full battery. The slide seems to have risen off the frame a little bit and is locked up tight. I can't get it to budge.

    Any clues on what to do next?? Please keep in mind there is a live 9mm round in the barrel now. ;P

    You probably have a bulged case in the 9mm round that's in the chamber, or something is blocking the chamber (squib?). Keeping your finger AWAY from the trigger, place the front edge of the slide on something solid, like a sturdy table, back deck, etc., and push down hard. If a slow, steady, hard push doesn't work, then do the same thing, except smack the back of your grip with the palm of your hand..smartly. (You might want to put a layer or two of an old rag between the slide and the wooden object)

    Birch;
    Have you found a G22/35/24 top end to go on that G17 receiver yet? Just curious.
