So I have this new postulation. I think I have found a way to absolve sin.

So here is how it works:

I get "holy water" brewed by monks in a monestary (they have been doing since 1455 with the blessing of the pope).

I then drink the liquid. With every sip (or gulp or bottle) it absolves more and more sin.

And since it is double bock, I think it actually works twice as fast.

I think I am onto something here...

Mine isn't brewed by monks, but seems to work well also.

Makes as much sense as many other absolution plans I have heard.

Does absolution from a Catholic even count, since you are Jewish?

After a few very powerful Trappist beers, anything you want counts.

Wine is how we know God loves us.

Ale is how we know He wants us to be happy.

I agree the monks are easily capable of providing us liquid absolution. Every time I look carefully at his smile I can almost feel the contentment that has to come from providing so much salvation to so many.

He who drinks beer sleeps well.
He who sleeps well cannot sin.
He who does not sin goes to heaven.
    Amen.

I refuse the Rapture. I'll lose titanium in my neck and silver from my teeth and gold from my bellybutton. NOPE.

Drink holy water? My fear would be that if all sin was absolved there wouldn't be enough of me left to bury.

We're created in God's image. Therefore, anything we do wrong, ie sin, is the fault of the manufacturer.
I'm taking retainers now if anybody would like me to intercede for them with the almighty when the rapture comes (Tuesday, read above). Further, I only take 1 payment, not the weekly installment plans so many others demand.

    Really?

A light hearted thread about great abbey ales and the motivations that created them has to devolve into jabs?
