Absolutely crazy encounter with a mobile mechanic last night. Ended up drawing on this ***** and his 2 friends with him. Police sided with us. Insane.

So I have an issue with my starter, as we all know from my last post here.

Starter won. I dont have the right tools to do it after all. I was given a number by a random person on facebook that said to contact this person, they can probably come now.

So we agree on a time for him to come. 4:30 pm. 5pm arrives he still has not shown up or replied.

I text and let him know it's getting dark and he needs to get here soon or I will have to wait and do it tomorrow.

He has me call him and he (very excitedly) kept insisting he was on the way soon, he has lights and everything he needs to do it no matter how dark it is.

I reluctantly agreed and told him ok be here by 6 and I will see what your equipment is like and go from there.

6:45pm arrives, still no sign of him. I tell him it's too dark, I don't know you, you could be the best mechanic ever, or the worst. but I'm not risking my only vehicle in the dark to a complete stranger, and not to come.

30 minutes later I get a text saying he will be at my house in 4 minutes.

I replied and told him no, I told you not to come 30 minutes ago, I'm not comfortable with this at this point and you are not touching my car this late and I am not paying you anything just to show up and then leave when I tell you to go away.

He says, and I quote, "I'm still coming to your house."

I tell him dude, no, you're not. I don't know you, if you come here after specifically being told not to multiple times, you are going to have a very bad night.

2 minutes later I hear them pull up. I go outside with a beer in one hand, and tell them they wasted their time, I am not having it done. It's literally pitch black at this point. They start arguing. There are 3 of them for some reason.

I tell them to leave, they want to argue. I tell them it's not up for debate, leave now. They aren't moving and start getting more argumentative. I pulled out my FN with an extended mag and tell them again to leave. They start saying they will shoot me and they are calling the cops. I told them no, I am calling the cops right now, you better not be here when I come back outside.

By the time I went back out they were gone and the cops were there. Super professional the entire time. Told me if they come back just stay inside and call the cops and do what I need to do if they try to force their way inside.

As I was explaining everything to the officers, they kept calling and texting my phone until I blocked them while the police were watching me do so.

Nothing else happened, my car is still ****ed up today and the person went on facebook and started saying we came outside with a gun, completely ignoring to provide any of the details or messages that led up to this happening. Ended up just deactivating the account because it's not worth it.

Like I told the cops, all I want is to get my car fixed. But not by someone I've never met, don't even know their name, in the pitch black of night. Not happening. They all agreed.

Anyway. What a night. Ridiculous.

I’m cool with it. Lots of tough guys on here hiding in their living rooms calling the popo
I was NOT letting 3 guys and 1 woman get to my front door. It was myself and my wife here, not risking it.

Especially after telling them multiple times they can come in the morning. Just not tonight. They decided to escalate things. I decided to put and end to the escalation.

You did several things wrong and at least one thing that is illegal.
Wrong. But go ahead and be the same armchair wannabe lawyer I was talking about earlier.

What exactly did I do wrong or illegal, on my own property, after informing them multiple times NOT to come to my house?

Do you even hear yourself?
My god you people are insufferable.

I didn't want to shoot anybody.

I didn't want them to come to my house. I TOLD THEM NOT TO FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS.

Learn how to read you *ing morons. * all of you. ban me

I did nothing wrong. I did nothing illegal.

**** all of you running your mouth.

You would have done the exact same if you were in my position and we all know it.

I don't care.

Ban me. ** you all if that is how you want to play this **.

I did not let them enter my driveway at all. I made sure they stayed on the street and did not exit the vehicle.
There aren’t any states that I know of where pulling a gun on 4 people, that haven’t threatened you with death or great bodily harm, and are sitting in a car on the street in front of your house is legal.

Reading isn't your strong suit, got it.

THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO SHOOT ME because I would not let them on to my property.

THEY CAME TO MY HOUSE AFTER BEING TOLD REPEATEDLY NOT TO, THEY ARE NOT WELCOME.

Learn how to read.
I mean people like you.

Bye now

Amazing and quite frightening to see just how much the generations have fallen when it comes to understanding self defense.

This younger generation somehow thinks you are forced to let someone shoot at you first, or stab you first, or try to enter your home or some **** before you are allowed to draw.

Nah. Not how it works. Sorry to shatter your fragile little world you grew up in.
What did you go outside to confront 4 people with a beer and a gun for when you already told them not to come and they said they were going to anyway? It was obviously going to lead to a call to the cops. You could have done that from a safer place inside.

I've answered this multiple times already. I was not letting them get to my front door.

I got the impression from this portion of your original post that they didn’t threaten to shoot you until AFTER you pulled a gun on them. Did I read that right?
These are the correct answers.
I agree, but I was not about to let them set one foot on my property. 3 men + 1 woman against me and my wife. Not happening. Not coming close to my door after I've told you for the last hour DO NOT COME TONIGHT.
This is on the shelf with the Dalton Wayne gas station thread...
Well to be honest, this guys story is more believable than one currently in cop talk about a gun toting guy at McDonalds.

I haven't seen that thread yet. But this is definitely real and really did happen. I have no reason to come on here and make all of this **** up. Come on now.

Getting to your door? Where they might try to come through?

You thought that was easier to go 4 on one outside rather than behind said door?

Yes. One squeeze point. Front porch. I had a hell of a time moving my couch in to this place. I know for a fact it will hold off 3 guys and 1 (likely shrieking) woman.

But again, they were not making it to the porch, let alone the door. That is why I did what I did.

They did not make it out of the vehicle. Which was my main point and reason for approaching them outside.

Not stepping foot on my property after being told repeatedly not to. Simple as that.

Dude I never said you made it up. I have no reason to doubt you. And remember, I only asked about the beer and the chick, I never said you were wrong for having your gun with you or drinking a beer. I can’t say I wouldn’t have met them at the end of my driveway with a 12 gauge racked and ready to go.

But I did know the comments were going to be out of control. It’s GT after all.

I'm not the one with a busted up 2008 hooptie that broke down while I was delivering pizza in front of my double wide. You have a nice day kid.

....
So now you're clear on why being inside the door was the right decision.

Is your front door made of tissue paper? Did they give you some indication that they would come door kickin? Sorry man, but there is just no way you can justify leaving the safety of your castle. None. You went outside looking for a confrontation, and you got one. Luckily for all parties involved, everyone survived. Hopefully lessons were learned.

No, I'd say I'm more inclined to be glad that I prevented them from even approaching the door or leaving their vehicle in the first place.

Yeah, hopefully lessons were learned on their end. Don't come to someone's house after they have told you not to for almost 2 hours.
