Absolutely crazy encounter with a mobile mechanic last night. Ended up drawing on this ***** and his 2 friends with him. Police sided with us. Insane.

So I have an issue with my starter, as we all know from my last post here.

Starter won. I dont have the right tools to do it after all. I was given a number by a random person on facebook that said to contact this person, they can probably come now.

So we agree on a time for him to come. 4:30 pm. 5pm arrives he still has not shown up or replied.

I text and let him know it's getting dark and he needs to get here soon or I will have to wait and do it tomorrow.

He has me call him and he (very excitedly) kept insisting he was on the way soon, he has lights and everything he needs to do it no matter how dark it is.

I reluctantly agreed and told him ok be here by 6 and I will see what your equipment is like and go from there.

6:45pm arrives, still no sign of him. I tell him it's too dark, I don't know you, you could be the best mechanic ever, or the worst. but I'm not risking my only vehicle in the dark to a complete stranger, and not to come.

30 minutes later I get a text saying he will be at my house in 4 minutes.

I replied and told him no, I told you not to come 30 minutes ago, I'm not comfortable with this at this point and you are not touching my car this late and I am not paying you anything just to show up and then leave when I tell you to go away.

He says, and I quote, "I'm still coming to your house."

I tell him dude, no, you're not. I don't know you, if you come here after specifically being told not to multiple times, you are going to have a very bad night.

2 minutes later I hear them pull up. I go outside with a beer in one hand, and tell them they wasted their time, I am not having it done. It's literally pitch black at this point. They start arguing. There are 3 of them for some reason.

I tell them to leave, they want to argue. I tell them it's not up for debate, leave now. They aren't moving and start getting more argumentative. I pulled out my FN with an extended mag and tell them again to leave. They start saying they will shoot me and they are calling the cops. I told them no, I am calling the cops right now, you better not be here when I come back outside.

By the time I went back out they were gone and the cops were there. Super professional the entire time. Told me if they come back just stay inside and call the cops and do what I need to do if they try to force their way inside.

As I was explaining everything to the officers, they kept calling and texting my phone until I blocked them while the police were watching me do so.

Nothing else happened, my car is still ****ed up today and the person went on facebook and started saying we came outside with a gun, completely ignoring to provide any of the details or messages that led up to this happening. Ended up just deactivating the account because it's not worth it.

Like I told the cops, all I want is to get my car fixed. But not by someone I've never met, don't even know their name, in the pitch black of night. Not happening. They all agreed.

Anyway. What a night. Ridiculous.

Whut kind of hillbilly nightmare is this?

Have your Pontiac Aztec towed to a shop next time.
This is the South, honey. Every day is a hillbilly nightmare. Mixed with just the right amount of urban crime.

You have a 117% chance of falling victim to a crime in this town.

And I don't know wtf you mean by a Pontiac Aztec, nor do I care.

I've already said multiple times it's a 2008 Honda Civic LX.

Some of you people don't belong behind a keyboard, let alone a trigger.

I can only assume you are one of them that belongs behind neither.

This. Well said, and I teach it.
I blame Dave Champion and Mas Ayoob. Champion wrote "Income Tax: Shattering the Myths" and I took MAG-20 with Mas. Both taught me how to think logically about the law and how to break down situations to place within the law. All one needs to do is break things down into pieces and plug them in.

Most people think law is something other than a computer program. It is, in fact, a very long series of if/then/else conditional statements, complete with variables and GOTO (jumps to other areas of the text).

Technically the truth.
I meant that it was, indeed, a "Cool Starry Bra"

It was literally a photo of a bra, with stars.

But whatever.

You just keep interpreting things the way you want to though.
This is just 2 pages of our conversation. I had told him several times before these messages were exchanged not to come.

In total I gave him about an hour and a half notice that he was too late now and not to come.

He was supposed to be here at 5:30. Then it turned in to 6:30. Then 7. Then at 7:45 all of this happened when he showed up, clearly uninvited.

I even told him if he can be there in the morning, he can still do it. But no way I was letting him touch our only vehicle in the dark.

My usual mechanic replaced the passenger side control arm for me in under 15 minutes at his shop.. He definitely knows what he's doing.

So for him to say he wouldn't attempt it in the dark.. Yeah, that was enough confirmation for me to tell this guy (who I'd never even met before and knew nothing about) not to come.

This needs to be moved to the okie corral so more priceless comments can be added. Oh and we need to know what kind of beer you had and pics of the toothless hooker.
Michelob UltraLight.

Not sure how many teeth the woman they brought with them had. Too dark to tell by the time they got here (after being repeatedly told not to come here)

wow you have way too much free time on your hands. ****in psycho. get help
Your mistake was coming outside and pulling your gun. At that point you became the aggressor.
No, at that point I had already told them multiple times they are not welcome here and they will not be met with a smiley face.
Woah. The op snapped. Lucky he's on the other side of a keyboard or he might be pulling his FN on us. :ROFLMAO:

Now these 3 guys have a beef with you, know where you live and what your schedule is. Oh, and you're lucky you didn't go to jail. It's all about what an average person would reasonably believe. Not sure you'd find many that would consider that an imminent deadly threat to justify pulling a gun.
Good luck!
If a person tells some idiot NOT to come by their house and then the idiot argues with them and shows up with 2 OTHER IDIOTS, at night, (Research: Disparity of Force. Can't watch more than one person at a time which exponentially increases a threat.) they had best have a gun with them.

Didn't "snap" at all. Just not gonna sit here and listen to a bunch of morons spout bull**** to me when they have zero clue what they are talking about.

Take care now :)

You are apparently the only person here that actually understands what the hell happened, and why it happened the way it did.

Everyone else wants to crack jokes and say I'm somehow wrong, when they came to MY HOME, after being told multiple times NOT to.

But I'm the bad guy.

Okay.

Don't care. Show up to my house uninvited, don't be surprised when you are treated like you are uninvited.

It's hilarious to me that these losers think the number of forum posts they have made is somehow "evidence" that they "know more" than I do.

LOL. That just proves you have no life outside this forum.

I've been here a decade and have less than 1k posts.

You clowns have been here just a few years and have thousands of posts. You think you know everything. You are a joke. lol

If I was wrong, I'd have been arrested.

Be quiet now.

You’re right, they should have a gun with them. Where OP went wrong (among other places) was when he brandished said gun. Just because he didn’t get in legal trouble doesn’t mean what he did was legal. If you believe he was justified in pulling the gun, then you must also believe he would’ve been justified shooting all three dead where they stood. The guy should have respected OPs wishes and not shown up at his house but he did nothing that justified having a gun drawn on him.

My god you people are insufferable.

I didn't want to shoot anybody.

I didn't want them to come to my house. I TOLD THEM NOT TO FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS.

Learn how to read you ****ing morons. **** all of you. ban me

I did nothing wrong. I did nothing illegal.

**** all of you running your mouth.

You would have done the exact same if you were in my position and we all know it.

I don't care.

Ban me. **** you all if that is how you want to play this ****.

Cool
Those guys were up to no good. I don't think they likely had any intention to help you out. I probably would have called the police as soon as they entered my driveway.

Exactly.

I am honestly surprised at the number of people on this website that are so far-off from the real world and the legality of things involved when it comes to something as serious as this.

I literally drew a firearm, with a beer in my other hand, and then called the police myself, and answered the door with said beer in my hand and said firearm in my holster when police arrived.

Not once was I asked for ID, asked how much I had to drink, anything at all.

I was 1000000% in the right here.

But of course, like any other forum, you will have people who think they know better than you, even when they couldn't be further from the truth.

I absolutely LOVE that this dude tried to use MY STATE as an example. LMFAOOOOOOO

Literally could not BE any more wrong. It's hilarious. Then when called out, he says oh this is fake then, or you don't live there.

LOL sure thing buddy. I just know my laws better than you because I know how to read and interpret things better than you. My instructor was also better than yours.
I’m cool with it. Lots of tough guys on here hiding in their living rooms calling the popo

I did not let them enter my driveway at all. I made sure they stayed on the street and did not exit the vehicle. I was on the phone with 911 before I even drew the gun. I am not trying to hurt or kill anyone if I don't have to.

I just am not going to be scammed or taken advantage of, or robbed, or worse.

It doesn't take 3 men and 1 woman to replace a starter on a 2008 Civic LX. You can barely fit one man underneath.
